The United Kingdom and Türkiye have completed the fourth round of negotiations on an enhanced Free Trade Agreement, held in London during the week commencing 23 February 2026.

According to the UK Department for Business and Trade, discussions were constructive and progress was made across a range of areas including investment, digital trade, telecommunications, cross-border trade in services, movement of business persons and legal services, trade in goods, customs facilitation, intellectual property, government procurement, labour, environment and dispute settlement.
The UK government emphasised the importance of free trade agreements in supporting economic growth and strengthening bilateral trade relations. Trade between the UK and Türkiye reached approximately £28.3 billion in the 12 months ending September 2025, reflecting continued expansion in commercial ties.
Further negotiations are expected to continue before the summer, with updates to be provided to Parliament as discussions progress.
CCS Law is closely observing developments in the UK–Türkiye trade negotiations and their potential legal and commercial implications for businesses operating across both jurisdictions.
